Purchasing Used Electronic Pianos
Electronic pianos are keyboard instruments and are designed so they can simulate the timbre of an acoustic piano by using an electronic circuit. The acoustic piano was a widely used musical instrument in the old days. Almost every house had one. They were also the most popular musical instrument all through the 18th and 19th century.
It was as late as the 20th century that the use of electronic pianos came into existence. Of course, they are widely used and now, there are many used instruments available for sale. The best part of the electronic piano is that they do not require tuning. The traditional acoustic piano had to be tuned from time to time so that the sound quality remained the best.
The electronic equivalents do not have to be tuned and hence they can be used as is. Used electronic pianos are available in all the shops that sell musical instruments. But before you buy, make sure that you know what you want, like size, colour, weighted keys. Just do a bit of homework first.

The Advantages of Electronic Pianos Over Acoustic Upright Pianos
Many years ago, almost every household used to have an upright piano. People took music lessons with a piano teacher. These pianos took a lot of space and had to be tuned from time to time, otherwise they would sound horrible. Today there are a lots of electronic pianos, which do not have this kind of problem and are also quite cost effective.
A big advantage of choosing an electronic piano is that they are not expensive. They also do not require tuning and as they weigh less they can be moved easily from place to place. You can even buy a piano that will match your furniture at home.
Before you buy one, you need to consider a few thing things. The first thing you need to check is whether it actually sounds like a piano. Also, check out the other sounds other than the piano sound. Many of these keyboards include sounds of different musical instruments as well so check them out. There are some models that will also provide drum sounds.
The next thing you need to look for is that whether the piano has weighted keys. These weighted keys will make your electronic piano sound and feel real. If your child is learning to play then the option of weighted keys is a really a necessary one.

Guide to the Yamaha Electronic Piano and Other Keyboard Brands
Knowing which electronic piano to buy can be really difficult for newbie’s; with so many different brands out there it’s hard to know which ones give you the most bang for your buck. This article is intended to help beginners, who are looking at electronic pianos, find few brands which may just be able to provide what you’re after.
Currently the biggest electronic piano manufacturer is Yamaha, they offer quality instruments at great prices and some of their models are specially designed for beginners. The most suitable models Yamaha offer for beginners are the P series and entry level ranges, but don’t go thinking just because they’re intended for beginners they aren’t quality instruments, all Yamaha’s digital pianos are sampled from a Yamaha grand concert piano. If you’re looking for a great Yamaha electronic piano then I would recommend the CLP range to any beginner if their budget allowed, failing this an YDP model would be quite acceptable as well.
If you’re after an instrument which produces a soft and full tone, then perhaps a Roland e-piano may be the right choice for you. Their HP and KR line of instruments are really playable, produce a great rich sound and their keyboards feel incredibly smooth under the fingers, definitely something to consider if you’re interested in a Roland electronic piano. I should also note that the sound of their entire digital range is actually sampled from a Steinway concert grand, if that doesn’t excite you then nothing will.
